Felix Named Student-Athlete of Week

Junior middle blocker Claire Felix (Colorado Springs, Colo.) of the UCLA women's volleyball team was named the UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for Nov. 23-29.
Felix did not commit a hitting error for the first eight sets this week, helping the Bruins upset #1 USC on the road on Wednesday. She had 10 kills and no errors in 15 attempts (.667) with three digs and two blocks against the Trojans. Felix had three kills in the second and fifth and two in the first and third. She didn't have an error until the fourth set against #6 Stanford on Friday, going for a career-best 16 kills in a personal-high 32 swings. Felix only had two errors for a .438 hitting percentage, adding five blocks, including two solos. She had four kills in each of the first two sets, three in the third and fifth and two in the fourth.
This is Felix's first UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and of her career.
