
Third-ranked Bruins Rise to Ninth after Second Round at ASU

The Bruins were in ninth place at 4-over par 580, 14 shots behind Arizona, which led the field at 12-under par 564. The Wildcats blistered the Karsten course with a tournament-best score of 276 (-12) in the second round. South Carolina was second at 572 (-4), followed by Texas (574, -2) and Stanford (575, -1). USC was fifth at even par 276.
Individually for the Bruins, junior Louise Ridderstrom and sophomore Bronte Law posted the day's best scores of 71 (-1). Ridderstrom climbed six spots up the leader board into a tie for 23rd at even par 144. Law, who had three birdies and a pair of bogeys on her card, vaulted 22 spots into a tie for 31st at 2-over par 146. Senior Erynne Lee was tied with Ridderstrom after signing for a score of 73 (+1), and freshman Lydia Choi was tied with Law following her round of 73 (+1). Freshman Erin Choi had the drop score of 76 (+4) and was tied for 70th at 152 (+8).
Freshman Aliea Clark, playing as an individual, led the team with five birdies on her card, but also endured five bogeys for an even par 72. She was tied for 37th at 147 (+3).
USC's Annie Park and ASU's Monica Vaughn shared the 36-hole lead at 6-under par 138.
