STANFORD, Calif. - The eighth-ranked Bruins posted their third-straight, double-figure scoring game on Sunday to finish off a sweep of Stanford, winning 10-2 in six innings at Smith Family Stadium.

The Bruins improve to 35-8 overall and 9-3 in Pac-12 play, while the Cardinal fall to 16-25 and 1-11 in league action.

UCLA had 15 hits from eight different players, as freshman Maddy Jelenicki was a home run short of the cycle, adding three runs batted in, while junior Allexis Bennett tied a school record with three doubles. Junior Brittany Moeai produced two hits and two RBI and seniors Ally Carda and Stephany LaRosa both had two-hit contests.

In the circle, Carda started and tossed two scoreless innings, striking out one and giving up a hit and a walk. Freshman Johanna Grauer (8-1) fanned three in four frames of relief, allowing two runs, three hits and three walks, posting a 1-2-3 inning in the sixth.

The Bruins scored four times in their first at-bat. Carda was hit by a pitch, stole second and scored one out later on a single up the middle by LaRosa. A Moeai double to left-center brought in LaRosa to make it 2-0. One out later, Jelenicki doubled to right-center to score Moeai with UCLA's third run, while a single up the middle from sophomore Gabrielle Maurice plated Jelenicki to make it 4-0.

In the second, the Bruins added two more. Bennett led off with a double to right-center and moved to third on a single to left by Carda. A single to right off the bat of sophomore Delaney Spaulding brought home Bennett to increase the lead to 5-0. One out later, an RBI groundout by Moeai scored Carda to put UCLA ahead 6-0.

The Bruins added one more run in the third, as Jelenicki led off with a triple to center and scored one out later on an RBI grounder by senior Gracie Goulder.

Stanford got on the board in the fourth with a two-run homer by Bessie Noll to cut its deficit to 7-2.

A run in the fifth and two more in the sixth for UCLA brought the mercy rule into effect for the third time this weekend. In the fifth, Maurice was hit, stole second, moved to third on a bunt single by Goulder and scored on a bunt hit by Bennett, who then took second for an infield double to make it 8-2.

In the sixth, the inning began with singles by LaRosa and Moeai, who were pinch-run for by sophomore Robyn Corruth and senior Sam Duran. A walk to Perez loaded the bases for Jelenicki, who singled up the middle to plate both Bruin pinch-runners to extend the lead to 10-2.

The Bruins host California next weekend at Easton Stadium on Friday, April 17 (2 p.m.), Saturday, April 18 (3:30 p.m.) and Sunday, April 19 (11 a.m.). All three games will be broadcast on Pac-12 Networks.
