
UCLA Misses Match Play Draw at NCAA Championships

The Bruins, who had to make up 16 shots in the fourth round to earn a spot in the match play competition, posted a team score of 303 (+15) for a 72-hole total of 1,233 (+81). There were no surprises in the top eight, which remained the same as at the end of the third round: 1st: USC (1,192, +40); 2nd: Duke (1,197, +45); 3rd: Baylor (1,198, +46); 4th, Stanford (1,199, +47); 5th: Arizona (1,205, +53); 6th: Tennessee and Texas Tech (1,212, +66); 8th: Washington: 1,214 (+68).
Individually for the Bruins, sophomore Bronte Law was the team's top finisher, tying for 18th place at 11-over par 299. Erynne Lee was next, tying for 51st place (311, +23) following Monday's round of 71 (-1). Also tying for 51st place was junior Louise Ridderstrom, who posted a final round score of 77 (+5). Freshman Erin Choi tied for 62nd place at 27-over par 315 after her round of 80 (+8). Freshman Lydia Choi finished 79th at 322 (+34) after signing for a score of 80 (+8) on Monday.
Alabama's Emma Talley won medalist honors with a 72-hole total of 285 (-3) following a final round 69 (-3).
