
Bruins Drop to Fourth Place After Weather-Delayed Second Round

The Bruins were just two strokes behind leader Tennessee after day one but dropped to seven back after day two. UCLA was in second place, three strokes back, through holes 12-15 when lightning forced a stop in play. When play resumed, the Bruins lost ground and finished the day with three bogeys in the final hole to fall into a tie for fourth with Texas A&M with a 12-under 564. Tennessee remains atop the leaderboard with a two-dayscore of 557 (-19). Baylor was second with a 561 (-15), and Washington moved up to third with a 562 (-14).
Bronte Law once again was the Bruins' top performer in the round, firing a four-under 68 for the second consecutive day. She moved up into a tie for second place with Baylor's Dylan Kim at 136 (-8), just one stroke behind the leader, Hayley Davis of Baylor. Lydia Choi also shot under par in round two, finishing with a one-under 71. She sits in a tie for 19th place with a 143 (-1), along with teammate Louise Ridderstrom, who shot a two-over 74. Erin Choi was two-over at 73, and Erynne Lee shot a three-over 75 to drop to 29th place.
The Bruins wrap up Regional play early on Saturday, teeing off with Texas A&M and Texas at 8:24am CT/6:24am PT. UCLA is aiming for a Top 6 finish to advance to the NCAA Championships. Sixth-place Texas is seven strokes behind the Bruins, and seventh-place Texas Tech is 11 strokes behind.
