400 Free Relay Wins Bronze

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Six Bruins participated in the 2015 Phillips 66 National Championships, held August 6-10, at the Northside Swim Center in San Antonio.  With a time of 3:45.54, the Bruin quartet of Katie Grover, Linnea Mack, Madison White, and outgoing senior Noelle Tarazona took home bronze medals in the 400 Freestyle Relay.    

Competing in three individual events as well, Tarazona placed second in the B final and 10th overall in the 200 Fly (2:11.43). 

Incoming freshman Emma Schanz competed in six events throughout the championships, reaching the evening session in two individual races.  Schanz placed fourth and fifth, respectively, in the C finals of the 200 Back (2:14.45) and the 200 Breaststroke (2:31.36).     

Caroline McTaggart, also an incoming freshman, reached the B final of the 100 Free and the C final of the 50 Free.  The newcomer finished fourth in the 50 Free (20th overall) with a 25.60, and was seventh in the 100 Free (15th overall) with a 56.09.
