2016 Gymnastics Schedule Announced

Six-time NCAA Gymnastics champion UCLA will compete against the top teams in the nation in 2016, including every previous NCAA champion. Bruin fans will be able to see four of those matchups in Pauley Pavilion, as UCLA hosts Alabama, Utah, Georgia and Oklahoma.
The Bruins' season opener will take place on Sunday, Jan. 10 at 2pm against six-time NCAA champion Alabama. Nine-time NCAA champion Utah visits Westwood on Saturday, Feb. 6 at 1pm, and UCLA closes its regular season with back-to-back Sunday home meets against 10-time champion Georgia, along with Stanford, on Mar. 6 and 2014 co-champion Oklahoma on Mar. 13.
The Pac-12 Networks will televise nine of UCLA's 10 regular season meets, along with the Pac-12 Championships, which will take place on Mar. 19 at Washington. In addition to the Utah meet, five other Pac-12 matchups for the Bruins will be televised on Pac-12 Networks, including UCLA road meets at Arizona on Saturday, Jan. 23, at Cal on Monday, Feb. 1 and at Washington on Sunday, Feb. 21, as well as home meets vs. Oregon State on Saturday, Feb. 13 and vs. Arizona State on Saturday, Feb. 27. Additionally, the Bruins will compete at three-time defending NCAA champion Florida on Friday, Jan. 15.
Meet the Bruins returns on Sunday, Dec. 13. The free preseason fan-fest will begin at 2pm in Pauley Pavilion.
UCLA will be led in 2016 by returning All-Americans Danusia Francis, who will return to campus following October's World Championships, Christine Peng-Peng Lee, Sadiqua Bynum and Sophina DeJesus, as well as freshman Katelyn Ohashi, who was the 2013 American Cup champion and 2011 U.S. junior all-around champion.
