The Bruin Films series "In Focus" highlights the unique stories of UCLA student-athletes. In the latest episode, get to know Claire Felix, a junior middle blocker/outside hitter on the UCLA women's volleyball team.
Felix is a fearsome competitor for Bruin opponents, standing an imposing 6-foot-6, which helps explain her dominance both offensively and defensively. But hanging out at the net and taking part in a fierce sport wasn't how Felix's athletic career began.
