Bruins Head to Trojan Diving Invite

LOS ANGELES, Calif. โ UCLA diving is back in action this weekend with a trip across town for the Trojan Diving Invitational.ย The three-day event begins on Friday with the 3-Meter, continues on Saturday with the 1-Meter, and concludes on Sunday with the Platform.ย
At the 2015 Trojan Diving Invite, Maria Polyakova swept the springboard events.ย The Bruin posted the top mark of 580.10 in the 3-meter, 39 points ahead of second-place Madison Witt of USC.ย Ciara Monahanย andย Annika Lenzย also made the top four.ย In the 1-meter event, Polyakova and Lenz went 1-2โPolyakova tallied a 591.35 to finish 46 points ahead of Lenz.ย Closing out the weekend on the tower, Lenz placed second while Montana Monahan finished fifth.ย ย ย ย ย
Each day of competition starts at 11 a.m. at USC's Uytengsu Aquatics Center.ย Results will be available on DiveMeets.org.ย Other schools competing in this year's Trojan Invite are Air Force Academy, Azusa Pacific, Cal Poly, CSU Bakersfield, Fresno State, San Diego State, San Jose State, and host USC. ย ย
