Bruins Head to A3 Performance Invite

MONTEREY PARK, Calif. โ€“ Owners of a 7-1 dual meet record and a No. 21 national ranking, the Bruins head out on the invitational circuit this week, traveling to East Los Angeles College for the A3 Performance Invitational.ย 

The meet, which runs from Thursday through Saturday, will be held at ELAC's Swim Stadium in Monterey Park.ย  Three-day session passes are $30, two-day session passes are $20, general admission tickets are $15 a day and student/child tickets are $5 per day.ย 

Each day of competition starts with preliminaries at 9 a.m., while finals begin at 5 p.m. ย Live results will be available through the Meet Mobile app, available on iTunes, while daily results will be postedย here.ย 

On Thursday, the meet starts with the 200 Free Relay, followed by the 500 Freestyle, 200 Individual Medley, 50 Free, and 400 Medley Relay. The 200 Medley Relay, 400 IM, 100 Butterfly, 200 Free, 100 Breaststroke, 100 Backstroke, and 800 Free Relay are scheduled for Friday. Competition concludes on Saturday with the 200 Back, 1650 Free, 100 Free, 200 Breast, 200 Fly, and 400 Free Relay.

The Bruins are coming off a home sweep of the Arizona schools. ย First, UCLA edged the Wildcats, 155.5-144.5, before cruising to a comfortable 162-131 victory over the Sun Devils.
