Lenz To Compete at Winter Nationals

Columbus, Ohio – UCLA diver Annika Lenz heads to Columbus for the 2016 USA Diving Winter National Championships, to be held Dec. 15-21, at McCorkle Aquatics Pavilion. The senior will compete in the 3-meter and platform events.

Lenz has made a strong showing throughout fall competition, already qualifying for NCAA Zones in both events. Last time out, the Bruin won the platform event and finished sixth in the 3-meter final at the UGA Fall Invitational. Back in November, Lenz placed second on the tower—just 3.85 points behind Madison Witt of USC—at the Trojan Diving Invitational. On the springboards, Lenz checked in at fifth in the 3-meter.

Competition will be conducted in individual 1-meter, 3-meter and 10-meter events as well as synchronized 3-meter and 10-meter events for both men and women. The championships also will be used to select the U.S. roster for the 2017 World University Games, 2017 FINA Grand Prix meets, and the 1-meter spots for the 2017 World Championships.
