Bruins Wrap Up Day Two at Stanford

STANFORD, Calif. - The five Bruin team scorers on Friday all posted rounds between 71 and 73, as UCLA finished its second round of The Goodwin in 14th place. The Bruins recorded a score of 7-over 287 at the Stanford Golf Course and are at +19 (579) following 36 holes.
The top round for the Bruins on Friday came from freshman Patrick Murphy, who fired a 1-over 71. He is tied for 37th overall at 4-over (144). Murphy birdied his opening hole, the first, as well as #7 and #16 to go with four bogeys. A trio of players shot +2 (72) in round two. Freshman Cole Madey is the top UCLA scorer overall at +3 (143, T-31). He made four birdies in his second round on the first, seventh, 11th and 16th, adding four bogeys and a double.
Also shooting 72 on Friday was senior Jonathan Garrick, who is tied for 94th at +9 (149). He birdied the fourth, seventh and 18th to go with three bogeys and a double. Sophomore Tyler Collier is tied for 108th (+11, 151) after making a birdie on his final hole to go with three bogeys. Senior Lorens Chan shot a non-team scoring 73 (+3) and is tied for 37th after 36 holes (+4, 144). His lone birdie came on the ninth, as he also made four bogeys. Senior Reilly McMahon, playing as an individual, shot a 78 (+8) and is at +25 (137th, 165).
The Bruins begin their final round on the 10th tee at 1:20 p.m. in the order of Collier, Garrick, Murphy, Chan and Madey. McMahon tees off the first at 9:20 a.m.
