Bruins Tie for 14th at The Goodwin

STANFORD, Calif. - The Bruins wrapped up play at The Goodwin on Saturday, finishing in a tie for 14th place (+31, 871). UCLA shot a 12-over 292 as a team in the final round at the Stanford Golf Course.
Freshman Cole Madey was the top Bruin scorer for the second time this season, finishing in a tie for 35th at 5-over (215). He was 2-over (72) on Saturday, making a birdie on his opening hole, the 10th, along with one on the 16th. He also made two bogeys and a double. Senior Jonathan Garrick recorded the best round of the afternoon for UCLA, shooting a 1-over 71. He also birdied his first hole, as well as #14, #17 and #6, to go with three bogeys and a double. Garrick finished the tournament at +10 (220, T-70).
Senior Lorens Chan had a 4-over 74 in his final round on a birdie on the sixth and five bogeys. He tied for 59th (+8, 218). Freshman Patrick Murphy tied for 82nd at +12 (222), shooting a non-team scoring 78 (+8) in his final 18 holes with a birdie on the eighth, three bogeys, a double and a quad. Sophomore Tyler Collier shot a 5-over 75 on Saturday with birdies on the first and sixth to go with a bogey, a double and a quad. He tied for 109th (+16, 226). Senior Reilly McMahon, playing as an individual, shot a 6-over 76 to finish 137th (+31, 241). He made birdies on his opening hole, the first, as well as the seventh, to go with four bogeys and two doubles.
The Bruins next head to the Western Intercollegiate at the Pasatiempo Golf Club in Santa Cruz, Calif. (April 11-13).
