Bruins Add Jamie Robbins to Roster

LOS ANGELES - Head coach Michael Sealy has announced the addition of Jamie Robbins to the UCLA women's volleyball program.

"We are excited that Jamie is coming to UCLA to help round out a very talented 2016 class," Sealy said. "Jamie is a versatile, left-handed attacker who will provide a different look in our gym. She is a passionate team player who will bring energy on a daily basis. Jamie is a very good team culture piece and will help improve our program."

Robbins played three years of varsity volleyball and one year of beach volleyball at Laguna Beach High School. The 6-foot-1 opposite hitter was a two-time All-Orange Coast League honoree and Offensive Player of the Year as a junior and senior, also earning All-Orange County Team accolades in 2014. The team captain, coached on both Laguna teams by Raul Papaleo, helped the Breakers to a pair of Orange Coast League titles her final two seasons. She also helped Torrey Pines High School to a CIF-Open Division championship as a freshman in 2013.

In 78 sets as a senior, she recorded 186 kills, 133 digs, 45 service aces, 44 blocks and 98 assists. Robbins plays club with T Street Volleyball under coach Shawn Patchell. Her 18's team is currently the top-ranked squad in Southern California, as she was named All-SoCal Right Side in 2014. Robbins' sister, Jordan, played with the Bruins in 2013 and 2014.

Robbins adds to the class of early signees that joined the UCLA program in November.
