Former U.S. National Team member Felicia Hano has signed a National Letter of Intent with UCLA and will join the Bruins for the 2017 gymnastics season.
Hano, who hails from San Gabriel, Calif. and trains at Gym-Max, was a member of the 2014-15 U.S. Senior National Team and was selected to compete at the 2014 Pan Am Games. At the 2014 P&G Championships, she placed seventh on floor, and she was a silver medalist in the all-around and gold medalist on vault and floor at the 2014 American Classic. Hano was a Level 10 standout, winning the national all-around and vault titles in 2013 and 2012. In her first competition of 2016, she won the vault and bars and placed third on beam at the Heart of a Champion meet.
“We are excited to bring Felicia Hano into the mix of our diversely talented freshman class,” said UCLA head coach Valorie Kondos Field. “Felicia brings a lot of power to floor and vault as well as being able to fill out our roster as a strong all-around gymnast.”
Hano will join a prolific freshman class in 2017 that includes 2012 Olympic gold medalist and Hano's club teammate Kyla Ross, 2015 World Uneven Bars champion Madison Kocian, and Level 10 standouts Anna Glenn and Grace Glenn.
