Bruins Finish Eighth at Pac-12s

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - Senior Jonathan Garrick posted the best showing for the Bruins, tying for seventh, while freshman Cole Madey tied for 15th, as UCLA wrapped up play at the Pac-12 Championships. As a team, the Bruins finished eighth (+45, 1,465), shooting a +27 (360) on Sunday.
Madey shot a 4-over 75 in his final round to finish +3 (216). He had an eagle on his closing hole, the 18th, and added birdies on the fourth, sixth and seventh, to go with three bogeys and three doubles. Garrick shot a 78 (+7) to finish at 2-under (211). He birdied the fourth and the eighth to go with five bogeys and two doubles.
Senior Lorens Chan and freshman Phil Delisi each shot 5-over 76 on Sunday, as Chan finished the tournament in a tie for 50th (+18, 231) and Delisi was one shot back at +19 (232, T-53). Chan had four birdies on the fourth, eighth, 17th and 18th with five bogeys and two doubles. Delisi's lone birdie was on his last hole, as he also made four bogeys and a double.
Sophomore Brandon Mai shot a 6-over 77 and tied for 62nd (+22, 235). He birdied his final hole to go with five bogeys and a double. Sophomore Tyler Collier had a non-team scoring +10 (81) on Sunday and finished in a tie for 48th at +17 (230). He had six bogeys and two double bogeys.
The Bruins will learn their postseason fate on Thursday at 6:30 a.m. PT when Golf Channel announces the Regional selections.
