May 11, 2016 | Women's Golf

Junior Bronte Law (Stockport, England) of the UCLA women's golf team was named the UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for May 2-8.
Law was co-medalist at the NCAA Bryan Regional, helping the Bruins to a third-place finish and their 16th-straight trip to the NCAA Championships. Law shared first-place honors with Georgia's Bailey Tardy with a three-day total of 7-under 209. Law, who led the field in par-4 scoring, posted her third victory of the season (Stanford Intercollegiate and PING/ASU Invitational) and the sixth of her career (tied with Kay Cockerill for the most in school history). Law's win is the sixth for a Bruin in Regional play, and additionally, the 209 score tied the course record for 54 holes. The junior was bogey free on Thursday with an opening-round 69 and continued her hot play on Friday with her best-ever round in Regional action, a 6-under 66, on Friday. In her second round, she birdied seven of her last 11 holes.
This is Law's second UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and third of her career.
