
Bruins Third After Two Rounds

EUGENE, Ore. - The UCLA women's golf team shot a 3-over 291 on Saturday at the Eugene Country Club and is in third place after 36 holes at the NCAA Championships. The Bruins are at 1-over (577) for the tournament, eight shots behind USC for first place.
Senior Louise Ridderström remains the Bruins' leading scorer after two rounds at 2-under 142, putting her in a tie for 10th. She shot a 1-over 73 on Saturday, making birdies on the ninth, 16th and 17th to go with two bogeys and a double. Junior Bronte Law is one shot back of her senior teammate at 1-under 143 (T-19) after an even-par 72. She balanced her books with birdies on the seventh and 17th and a pair of bogeys.
Freshman Lilia Vu also shot an even-par 72 and is 1-over (145, T-33) through 36 holes. She birdied five holes, #1, #4, #6, #11 and #16, to go with three bogeys and a double. Freshman Bethany Wu is tied for 54th at 3-over (147), shooting a 2-over (74) on Saturday. She gained strokes on #7, #12 and #17 to go with five bogeys. Junior Hadas Libman shot a non-team scoring 4-over (76) and is 10-over (154, T-114). She had a pair of birdies on the second and 13th, four bogeys and a double.
The Bruins begin their third round on Sunday on the first tee at 8:36 a.m. in the order of Libman, Wu, Vu, Law and Ridderström. Live scoring will be available here. The top 15 teams after play on Sunday advance to Monday's final round of stroke play.
