OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - For the second-straight game, senior Mysha Sataraka launched one over the fence, a first-inning grand slam, however, the 12th-seeded Bruins would be held off the scoreboard the rest of the way as their season concluded with an 8-4 loss to #8 Florida State at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium.

The Bruins (40-16-1) had seven hits from six different players, as sophomore Kylee Perez had a pair of singles. All three pitchers saw time in the circle. Sophomore Johanna Grauer started and relieved, striking out two in six innings and giving up five runs (four earned), eight hits and four walks. Redshirt junior Paige McDuffee (6-2) allowed three runs, three hits and a walk in one inning, while sophomore Selina Ta'amilo faced two batters, walking one and hitting another.

It was all Bruins in the bottom of the first. Senior Allexis Bennett led off with an infield single to short, Perez reached on a bunt single and junior Delaney Spaulding was hit by a pitch to load the bases for Sataraka, who picked a good time for the first grand slam of her career, sending her 15th homer of the season to dead center to put the Bruins up early.

However, Florida State (54-9) held the Bruins to just two hits after the opening frame, scoring eight unanswered runs. The Seminoles scored two in the second on a homer by Alex Powers and a bases-loaded walk to Morgan Klaevemann. In the third, three more came across, as Florida State scored one on a Jessica Warren homer and two on a fielder's choice squeeze that never left the infield. In the fifth, the Seminoles had a two-run single by Klaevemann to make it 7-4, while in the seventh, another RBI single by Klaevemann made it 8-4.
