BEAUMONT, Calif. - Bruin alum Brianna Do won the SCPGA Women's California State Open on Thursday at the Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon, winning by four strokes.
Do had a two-day total (Oct. 11-12) of 9-under 135, recording rounds of 65 and 70. She was bogey-free in shooting 7-under in her opening round and never saw her lead dip below a couple of shots on the final day.
Do is splitting time between the LPGA and Symetra Tours. In 10 events on the LPGA Tour in 2017, she made the cut five times, including a T-26 at the ShopRite LPGA Classic Presented by Acer. Do also qualified for her second U.S. Women's Open this year. She notched a pair of Top 20 finishes in eight events on the Symetra Tour in 2017, tying for 12th at the Gateway Classic at Longbow Golf Club and tying for 20th at the Sara Bay Classic.
