ATHENS, Ga. โ€“ UCLA wrapped up Day 2 at the Georgia Fall Invitational with two divers in the Top 5 of the 3-Meter competition. Eloise Belanger and Ciara Monahan accomplished the feat for the second time in as many days, while Alice Yanovsky charted her second Top-10 finish of the invite.

Auburn's Alison Maillard won the 3-Meter title with a final-round score of 324.80.

Ciara Monahan broke the 300 mark in the preliminary round, totaling a score of 303.05 for a second-place spot. The senior's round was highlighted by her 5152B, a Forward 2 ยฝ Somersault 1 Twist Pike that scored a 60.00. Each of her final dives went for at least 52.65.

Belanger also successfully executed her 5152B in the preliminary round, matching Maillard for the highest-scoring dive of the day with a 63.00. She scored 266.10 in all to take eighth with the final looming. Yanovsky's 51.80 on her 205C helped the freshman to a ninth-place finish in the preliminary round and a trip to the final.

Though Maillard ultimately proved too strong with five dives of at least 53.20 (including her 63.00), the Bruins did not go quietly. Belanger's final-round 297.75 included another 60.00 on her final dive of the day and four attempts in all that ended in scores of at least 52.65. Monahan posted a 56.00 to open the round, converting her Back 1 ยฝ Somersault 2 ยฝ Twist Free (5235D) before returning later to post a 58.80 on her 205C, a Back 2 ยฝ Somersault Tuck. Yanovsky registered another score of 51.80 on her fourth dive of the round (305C) en route to a final-round total of 256.95.

UCLA will wrap up at the Georgia Fall Invite Sunday with the Platform competition. Bruins Belanger, Madeline Russell, Traci Shiver and Yanovsky are scheduled to participate. Results will be available at DIVEMEETS.COM.
