
UCLA Gymnastics to Host Meet the Bruins Dec. 9

Fans will get their first look at the 2018 UCLA Gymnastics team on Saturday, Dec. 9 at 2pm at the Meet the Bruins event in Pauley Pavilion. Admission to the Blue vs. Gold intrasquad is free, with doors opening at 1pm.
For the first time ever, Meet the Bruins will be televised live on Pac-12 Networks, with Jim Watson and UCLA Gymnastics great Samantha Peszek on the call.
The event will feature a blue vs. gold intrasquad on all four events. Among; the expected competitors are 2017 NCAA bars and beam champion and 2012 Olympic gold medalist Kyla Ross; 2017 Pac-12 Specialist of the Year Christine Peng-Peng Lee; All-Americans Katelyn Ohashi, Felicia Hano and JaNay Honest; and freshmen standouts and former national team members Nia Dennis and Pauline Tratz.
Including among the celebrity judges are Olympic medalists Betty Okino and Danell Leyva and UCLA Gymnastics alumnae Jeanette Antolin, Sadiqua Bynum, Carmen Tausend Curtis and Elyse Null.
The first 500 fans in attendance will receive the 2018 team poster. Following the meet, gymnasts Rechelle Dennis, Lilia Waller, Anna Glenn and Grace Glenn will participate in an autograph session.
UCLA Gymnastics has partnered with the Los Angeles Youth Network (LAYN) to donate gifts to Los Angeles teens in need. Bring a gift donation from LAYN's Holiday Wish List to Meet the Bruins and receive two free tickets to any home meet in 2018.
