
Eloise Belanger Named UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of Week

Junior Eloise Belanger of the UCLA women's swimming and diving team has been named the UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for Feb. 20-26.
Belanger joined elite company at last week's Pac-12 Swimming & Diving Championships in Federal Way, Wash. On Day 2, the junior became the eighth women's diver in program history to take the conference's 1-Meter title, edging Stanford's Kassidy Cook by 3.50 with three clutch dives down the stretch. Then, one day later, the Montreal, QC, Canada native (369.75) held off Arizona State's Ashley McCool (367.95) in the 3-Meter competition to join Kristen Walls (1993, 1994) as the only Bruins to win both contests in the same year. Belanger went on to take fourth on Platform to become the only diver to register Top-4 finishes in each event. For her efforts, Belanger was named Pac-12 Diver of the Meet.
This is Belanger's second UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week of the season and the second of her career.
