UCLA Rowing Set for San Diego Crew Classic

The UCLA women's rowing program will compete at the two-day San Diego Crew Classic this weekend, opening with four races on Saturday morning at Mission Bay.

The Bruins' varsity eight crew will race at 9:32 a.m. in the Jessop Whittier Cup Heat. UCLA will row against Texas, USC, Stanford, Tennessee and San Diego in its opening heat.

UCLA's second varsity eight boat will take the water at 10:32 a.m., facing Texas, Tennessee, Kansas State, Loyola Marymount and UC Santa Barbara.

The Bruins' morning will continue with the varsity four race at 10:56 a.m., followed by the novice eight prelim race at 11:28 a.m. UCLA's V4+ crew will race against Texas, Kansas State, Sacramento State and Portland. The N8+ crew will take on Texas, British Columbia, Sacramento State, Loyola Marymount and UC Santa Barbara.

Women's collegiate races will continue Saturday afternoon, just after 3:30 p.m.

In addition, the Bruins will race on Sunday, March 25. Race times for Sunday are contingent upon Saturday's racing results.
