DUBLIN, Ireland - Rising senior Lilia Vu rounded out her summer with another victorious effort as a member of Team USA, helping the Red, White and Blue win the Espirito Santo Trophy for the first time in 20 years at the Women's World Amateur Team Championships (Aug. 29-Sept. 1) at the Carton House, Montgomerie and O'Meara Courses.
After being a part of the winning USA Curtis Cup team in June, Vu, along with Alabama's Kristen Gillman and Wake Forest's Jennifer Kupcho, recorded a four-round score of 29-under. Vu shot a 288 total (-2), which included a second-round, 3-under 69. The United States posted a 10-stroke victory over Japan to win the biennial event for the first time since 1998. It was also the first Top 3 finish for the U.S. since 2010.
