Three Bruins to be Honored by SCIVB Hall of Fame

ANAHEIM -ย Bruin alums, Jeanne Beauprey Reeves and Denise Corlett, have been chosen for induction into the Southern California Indoor Volleyball Hall of Fame, while Sharkieย Zartmanย will be receiving the SCIVBHOF Lifetime Service Award along with her husband Pat. The ceremony will take place on May 5 at the Highway 39 Event Center in Anaheim.
Beaupreyย Reeves, a 1982 All-American, is the all-time UCLA leader in matches played (169) and ranks eighth in aces (142) and 10th in hitting percentage (.309). She had her No. 40 uniform retired, was an assistant coach on the 1990 and 1991 UCLA National Championship teams and was inducted into the UCLA Athletics Hall of Fame in 2000. Corlett, a 1978 and 1979 All-American and All-WCAA selection, had her No. 44 uniform retired. She was inducted into the UCLA Hall of Fame in 1999. Zartman, a member of the 1972 UCLA National Championship team, had her No. 23 uniform retired and was a member of the AVP Tour following her days as a Bruin.
The trio joins Andy Banachowski (2017) and Liz Masakayan (2018) as inductees into the Southern California Indoor Volleyball Hall of Fame.
