LOS ANGELES - No. 22 UCLA outclassed Colorado, 3-0, to improve to 8-3-1, 2-2-0 in the Pac-12. The Bruins scored a goal in the first half and two in the second half and dominated possession, outshooting the Buffaloes, 25-2.

The Bruins scored their first goal at 24:54 off a corner kick. Marley Canales swung the corner into the box, where it was deflected off the fingertips of Colorado goalkeeper Jalen Tompkins. Kennedy Faulknor flicked it to defender Lucy Parker in the center of the box, and Parker headed it over Tompkins' head for her first goal as a Bruin.

UCLA kept it up in the second half, with Mia Fishel doubling the Bruins' lead at 52:26. Viviana Villacorta laid off a ball to a streaking Jessie Fleming on the left side. Fleming sent a cross into the box for Fishel, who one-timed it with her right foot into the back of the net for the 2-0 advantage.

The Bruins added another one in the 84th minute thanks to an outstanding long pass from Parker to Ashley Sanchez just outside the box. Sanchez one-timed it in with a half-volley for her fifth goal of the season. Canales also recorded an assist on the play, her second of the game.

Redshirt sophomore goalkeeper Lauren Brzykcy earned the shutout, her first solo shutout of the season. Tompkins had eight saves for Colorado in the loss. The Buffaloes fall to 9-3-1, 1-2-1.

UCLA will next face Utah on Sunday at 1pm at Wallis Annenberg Stadium, the first game in a doubleheader with the UCLA men, who host California at 4pm.
