UCLA head women's volleyball coach Michael Sealy has announced the additions of 5-foot-11 outside hitter Allison Jacobs (Stevenson Ranch, Calif./West Ranch HS/Legacy Volleyball Club) and 6-foot-2 opposite hitter Iman Ndiaye (Plano, Texas/Plano West HS/Texas Advantage Volleyball), who have both signed their National Letters of Intent.

Jacobs just finished competing with the U.S. Girls Youth National Team in September at the FIVB Girls' U18 World Championship in Cairo, Egypt, winning a gold medal. She appeared in seven of the eight matches, recording five kills and three aces. At West Ranch High School, Jacobs was the first player in school history to start as a freshman on varsity in 2016, collecting All-Foothill League Second Team honors. She would become All-League First Team as a sophomore and junior, as she led the team in kills (297) and digs (199) in 2018. This year, Jacobs (No. 39 PrepVolleyball.com recruit) and West Ranch reached the second round of the CIF Southern Section tournament, as she posted 381 kills, a .409 hitting percentage and 169 digs. In addition to her play with the U.S. Girls YNT, she also competed at the USA Volleyball High Performance Championship in 2017 and the NORCECA Girls U18 Continental Championship in 2018.

"Allison is an all-around player who can impact the game in every facet," Sealy said. "Each year, she has become more and more efficient and polished in her skill set. With her work ethic and drive, she will absolutely reach her potential and impact this program. Allison has been a member and captain of the youth national team in the past and she possesses amazing leadership qualities. She plays bigger and more physical than you would expect."

Ndiaye, who was born in France, but moved to Texas when she was four, was an All-Area First Team selection as a junior when she produced 658 kills and 54 blocks, helping Plano West High School to a semifinalist berth into the 6A State tournament. Plano West is back in the semifinals of that tournament in 2019 (as of Nov. 14), with Ndiaye recording 381 kills, a .359 hitting percentage and 62 blocks so far this season.ย Ndiaye is ranked No. 7 on PrepVolleyball.com's Senior Aces list. This summer, she was named the Most Valuable Player of the USA Volleyball Junior National Championships with Texas Advantage.ย She earned VYPE Dallas-Fort Worth Player of the Year honors in 2018.

"Iman has always been a noticeable athlete on the volleyball court who possessed amazing potential," Sealy said. "This past summer, she cashed in that potential into one of the more impressive tournaments I have seen. On offense, she has range and power and an ability to be an unstoppable terminal attacker. Iman can play either pin and we are excited about that flexibility for our offense. I compare her to an elite international opposite that can play in a fast system. The sky is the limit for Iman."
