UCLA Gymnastics to Host Meet the Bruins Intrasquad Saturday

Fans can get their first look at the 2020 UCLA Gymnastics team on Saturday, Dec. 14 when the seven-time NCAA champions host their annual Meet the Bruins intrasquad in Pauley Pavilion presented by Wescom. The event begins at 4pm, with doors opening at 3pm. Admission is free.
Meet the Bruins will be live streamed at pac-12.com/live/ucla, with Darren Preston and 2018 NCAA Champion JaNay Honest calling the action.
The event will feature a Blue vs. Gold intrasquad on all four events, beginning with vault and ending with floor exercise. The Bruins will provide a unique and unprecedented performance of their floor exercise routines that fans will not want to miss. Each competitors' score will count towards the team total, and one team will be crowned the winner at the end of the meet. The Bruins return all but two competitors from last year's squad, including Olympic gold medalists Kyla Ross and Madison Kocian, Pac-12 vault co-champion Felicia Hano and Pac-12 beam co-champion Grace Glenn.
The Bruins are in their first year under new head coach Chris Waller and his staff - Associate Head Coach Kristina Comforte, Assistant Coach Dom Palange and Volunteer Assistant Coach and choreographer BJ Das.
"I have anticipated getting our team out on the floor since taking the reins in May," Waller said. "The team is especially excited to get in front of the greatest fans and perform in Pauley Pavilion!"
Following the intrasquad, the team will conduct a one-hour autograph session on the Pauley Pavilion concourse.
Fans should be reminded that Pauley Pavilion has a clear bag policy. Please leave all non-clear bags at home or in your car.
The 2020 UCLA Gymnastics season begins officially on Saturday, Jan. 4 at 6:30pm at the Collegiate Challenge Powered by Under Armour at the Anaheim Arena. The Bruins will face defending NCAA champion Oklahoma, along with California and Stanford. UCLA's first home meet will be on Sunday, Jan. 12 against Boise State at 3pm.
