
Bruins Fourth Through Two Days at The Prestige

LA QUINTA, Calif. - The Bruins recorded the fourth-lowest round on day two of The Prestige presented by Charles Schwab, as UCLA is in fourth place following 36 holes. The Bruins shot a 1-over 285 on Tuesday and are at 3-over 571 after two rounds.
Sophomore Devon Bling is the top Bruin through 36 holes at even-par 142 following a second-straight, even-par 71. He made three birdies on the fifth, 11th and 12th and three bogeys. Junior Hidetoshi Yoshihara is tied for 17th (+2, 144), also shooting an even-par 71 on Tuesday. He made three birdies on No. 6, 7 and 12 and three bogeys. Freshman Sean Maruyama is tied for 24th (+3, 145), posting a 2-over 73 on a third-hole birdie and three bogeys. Sophomore Eddy Lai was the low Bruin on Tuesday, shooting a 1-under 70, eight strokes better than his first round. He made three birdies in a four-hole stretch (No. 11, 12 and 14) and two bogeys and is tied for 37th (+6, 148). Senior Cole Madey is also tied for 37th, shooting a 7-over 78 on two birdies (No. 1 and 10), five bogeys and two doubles.
The Bruins will begin their final round on Wednesday at 8:25 a.m. off the first tee in the order of Lai, Madey, Maruyama, Yoshihara and Bling.
