Bruins Place Fourth at The Prestige

LA QUINTA, Calif. - The Bruins finished in fourth place at The Prestige presented by Charles Schwab, as sophomore Devon Bling and junior Hidetoshi Yoshihara both had Top 20 showings.
UCLA shot 11-over 295 on Wednesday to finish at +14 (866).
Bling finished 16th at 3-over 216 following a 3-over 74 in his final round. He made two birdies on No. 10 and 16 and five bogeys. Yoshihara was one position below Bling at 4-over 217 (T-17), shooting a 2-over 73 on Wednesday. He recorded two birdies (No. 4 and 11), two bogeys and a double. Freshman Sean Maruyama tied for 30th (+7, 220), shooting a 4-over 75 in his final round on three birdies (No. 9, 11 and 16), two bogeys, a double and a triple. Senior Cole Madey posted a 2-over 73 and finished in a tie for 33rd (+8, 221). He had three birdies on No. 5, 9 and 10, three bogeys and a double. Sophomore Eddy Lai finished 54th (+12, 225), shooting a 6-over 77 on two birdies (No. 9 and 16), four bogeys and two doubles.
Next up for the Bruins is the Southwestern Invitational (Feb. 25-26) at the North Ranch Country Club in Westlake Village, Calif., where UCLA will be looking to defending its tournament title.
