In game one against the Huskers (8-5), UCLA (12-0) had 13 hits from eight different players, as senior Taylor Pack, junior Bubba Nickles, redshirt sophomore Aaliyah Jordan and sophomores Briana Perez and Julie Rodriguez all posted two-hit contests. She struck out two in the first and had a 1-2-3 frame in the second.
The Bruins scored twice in their first at-bat, as Nickles recorded a one-out double to extend her hitting streak to 23 games and came home on a two-out homer to left-center off the bat of redshirt junior Rachel Garcia.
In the second, UCLA tacked on four more. Sophomore Kinsley Washington and Rodriguez led off with doubles to make it 3-0. After Rodriguez advanced to third on an error, she came home when freshman Anna Vines got on base on a Nebraska miscue. Later in the inning, with Perez on second after an infield single and Nickles on first after a walk, Jordan singled to left to bring in Perez to bring the lead to 5-0. One out later, Pack reached on an error, allowing Nickles to score UCLA's sixth run.

UCLA invoked the mercy rule in the sixth, as Nickles and Jordan led off with back-to-back singles, and one out later, Pack doubled to left-center to score Nickles with the Bruins' ninth run.
In game two against the Wildcats (8-7), the Bruins (13-0) produced 10 hits from eight hitters, as Jordan and Perez both had two-hit contests. Garcia notched the win in relief, striking out four in six innings and giving up two hits, two runs (one earned) and one walk. She had 1-2-3 innings in the second, fourth and fifth.ย
Kentucky jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the first, but UCLA closed its deficit to 2-1 in the bottom of the opening frame, as Perez led off with a double and Jordan notched a one-out double.
The Wildcats added two more runs in the third to go ahead 4-1, but UCLA scored six times in its half of the third to take the lead. Nickles reached on an error to start things off, Jordan singled up the middle and Nickles scored after Garcia reached on an error to make it 4-2. A Pack single to right-center brought in Jordan to cut the deficit to 4-3. Two batters later and with the bases loaded, Rodriguez singled to right-center to score Pack and freshman Taylor Sullivan to give the Bruins a 5-4 lead. After Washington reached on a fielder's choice to load the bases, Perez walked to plate senior Brianna Tautalafua to extend the edge to 6-4. A fielder's choice with Nickles up brought in Rodriguez to make it 7-4.
In the fifth, the Bruins added three. With one out, Washington was hit by a pitch and stole second. Perez followed with an infield single to first, and when she got in a rundown between first and second base, Washington scampered home to get the margin to 8-4. Nickles then extended her hitting streak to 24 games on a two-run homer to right-center to make it 10-4.
In the sixth, another homer ended things. Sophomore Malia Quarles was hit by a pitch, senior Danae Blodgettย came in to run and Tautalafua homered to left to send the Bruins to a 12-4 victory.
