The Sun Devils (20-10) clawed their way back in the game to begin the third quarter, mustering a 13-0 run to pull within one (45-44). The Bruins went cold in the frame, going scoreless for over five minutes.

Burke responded with a strong drive to the hoop, and UCLA remained in front for the remainder of the frame, taking a one-point (57-56) edge into the fourth.

She continued to break down the Sun Devil defense with her crafty ball handling, scoring on a drive to the hoop to extend the Bruin lead to 69-60.
