DUBLIN, Ohio - A winner of the Jack Nicklaus Award as the best collegiate player in 2011, Bruin alum Patrick Cantlay won "Jack's Tournament" on Sunday, shooting an 8-under 64 to win the Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village.

It was the second career victory for Cantlay, who won the 2017 Shriners Hospitals for Children Open. The 8-under 64 was the best-ever final round by a winner at the Memorial, as he finished at 19-under 269 to win by two strokes, overcoming a four-stroke deficit at the beginning of the round.

Cantlay, who moves up to sixth in the season-long FedExCup standings, is one of the hottest golfers on the PGA TOUR. In his last four stroke-play events, he has won, finished tied for third twice (PGA Championship and RBC Heritage) and tied for ninth (The Masters).
