Lowe Wins Gold at Pan American Cup

PERU -ย UCLA alum Karsta Lowe helped the U.S. Women's National Team record its third-consecutive Pan American Cup title on Sunday, as the Red, White and Blue won gold by sweeping the Dominican Republic.
Lowe appeared in five of six matches, producing 64 kills (4.27 per set), 77 points (5.13 per set), seven blocks and six aces. In three of the four pool-play matches, Lowe either led or tied for the team lead in kills. She had a match-high 18 kills versus Colombia (July 6). Two days later against Mexico, Lowe posted a team-best 16 points and four blocks to go with two aces and 10 kills, tying a team high. To close out pool play, Lowe recorded a team-best 17 points and tied for a team high with 13 kills, adding three blocks and one ace versus Puerto Rico (July 10).
In the Pan Am Cup semifinals on July 13, Lowe had nine kills, as Team USA swept Colombia. In the Gold Medal match versus the D.R., Lowe notched 14 kills and three aces for 17 points.
During her time with the U.S. Women's National Team, Lowe has won gold at the 2015 FIVB World Grand Prix, the 2015 NORCECA Championship and the 2016 NORCECA Olympic Qualification Tournament, along with a Bronze at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
