Mac May Invited to Train With USA National Team

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Rising senior Mac May, along with 15 other collegiate athletes, have been invited to train with the United States Women's National Team for the Spring Training Camp set to take place in Anaheim next month (March 14-21).
As part of the training, the USWNT and Japan will host a joint training session at the American Sports Centers in Anaheim. The two countries will play an exhibition match on March 20 at Santiago Canyon College in Orange, Calif.ย

The U.S. Women's National Team will host Japan in a joint training session from March 14-21 at the American Sports Centers in Anaheim, California.

As part of the training week, the two countries will engage in an exhibition match on March 20 at Santiago Canyon College in Orange, California. Admission is $10 for general admission, while youth 10-and-under, seniors 60-and-over and military with identification can purchase tickets for $7. Youth 3-and-under will be admitted free. Tickets will go on sale at the door one hour prior to the 7 p.m. PT first serve.

While rosters for both USA and Japan have not been confirmed, the American roster will be composed mostly of college student-athletes who will be joining Spring Training Camp in Anaheim.ย Several U.S. Women's National Team members will also be in training at that time in Anaheim, including Olympians Jordan Larson, Foluke Akinradewo and Rachael Adams, along with Tori Dixon.

Additional college players may be invited to attend the Spring Training Camp following the U.S. Women's National Team Open Tryouts, which are being held Feb. 21-23 in Colorado Springs.

Japan, which will provide its Anaheim training roster later this month, is hosting the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo with indoor volleyball taking place July 25-Aug. 9 for both genders.
