Swim & Dive Lands 12 on Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll

LOS ANGELES – Twelve members of the UCLA swim & dive program were recognized for their work in the classroom as the Pac-12 Conference unveiled its 2020 Winter Academic Honor Roll on Tuesday morning.
The Bruins' Honor Roll recipients included Gabrielle Anderson, Emma Cain, Sophie Clarkowski, Lia Foster, Maisie Jameson, Lisa Kaunitz, Emily Lo, Ruby Neave, Emma Schaetz, Bonnie Schmitz, Delaney Smith, and Erica Vong.
Swim and dive had over half (12-22, 55%) of UCLA's total honorees. In addition, UCLA's 12 picks were third-most among Pac-12 swim programs, trailing only Stanford (18) and Arizona State (13).
For a pair of Bruins, Tuesday wasn't the first time they earned academic honors from the conference. Kaunitz was a Second Team pick in 2018 while both she and Jameson earned honorable mentions in 2019.
To qualify for Pac-12 academic honors, student athletes must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or above and serve at least one year in residence at their institution. Other recognized sports for the Winter Academic Honor Roll included men's and women's basketball, gymnastics, and wrestling.
