LOS ANGELES โ Outside hitters Mac May and Charitie Luper paced the Bruins with 14 and 13 kills, respectively, at a combined .344 hitting percentage in the Bruins' fourth consecutive home sweep.

No. 17 UCLA (15-3, 8-2 Pac-12) hit above .300 in each of the three sets in its straight-set victory over Oregon State (3-17, 1-9 Pac-12) Sunday afternoon at Pauley Pavilion presented by Wescom. Set scores were 25-18, 25-23, 25-19.

After trading points to a 4-4 tie in the opening set, the Bruins went on a 4-0 run featuring three attack errors with graduate setter Shelby Martin at the service line. The Beavers failed on nine of their attack attempts and six of their serves to hand UCLA 15 points.

The ten other points came via kills, four of which redshirt sophomore Anna Dodson was responsible for. Dodson hit back-to-back kills for her third and fourth of the set amidst another 5-0 run. Dodson finished the match a perfect 7-for-7 on her attacks with two block assists.

Luper scored eight of her 13 kills in the second set, twice giving the Bruins the lead. Luper's final kill put the set point on the line, 24-22, when another Beaver service error sealed the frame.

UCLA sided out at 73 and 75 percent in the final two sets of the match while hitting at an efficient .387 and .351 clip. Martin assisted on 13 kills in the second and 12 kills in the third sets.

May took over midway through the final set with three straight kills amidst a 7-1 run to extend UCLA's biggest lead of the frame to six points, 18-12. Redshirt senior middle blocker Emily Ryan was subbed in at 20-13 and immediately made an impact, assisting on a block with élan McCall.

May closed the third set with seven kills on 12 attempts for a .417 hitting percentage. McCall added three of her four kills in the final frame as well, including the match point.

Freshman Zoe Fleck led UCLA with 11 digs in the match, and McCall and Martin were both tied with sixth.

UCLA closes out its two-week home stand with a pair of matches versus No. 22 Washington State on Friday, Oct. 29, at 7 p.m. PT and No. 10 Washington on Sunday, Oct. 31, at 4 p.m.
