Claire Grover Named UCLA Student-Athlete of the Week

Junior Claire Grover from UCLA Women's Swim & Dive has been selected the UCLA Student-Athlete of the Week, presented by Ready, earning honors for Feb. 8-15.

Claire Grover helped the Bruins to a dramatic 151-148 win over USC last weekend, swimming the anchor leg of the final and decisive event of the meet, the 400 free relay. Trailing a quarter second heading into the final leg, Grover turned in a PR split of 48.04 and touched the wall just 0.04 seconds ahead of USC. She also won the 50 free on Friday, completing that race in 22.55. It was UCLA's first dual meet win over the Trojans since 2007.
This is Grover's first UCLA Student-Athlete of the Week award of the season and first of her career.
