Bruins Host Oregon State in Penultimate Home Game of 2020-21
The UCLA men's soccer team has just one game on the schedule this week, hosting conference rival and No. 9-ranked Oregon State on Saturday afternoon at Wallis Annenberg Stadium starting at 3:00 p.m. PT. The contest will be televised live on the Pac-12 Networks and streamed on Pac-12.com/live and the Pac-12 Now app. Fans can follow along with live stats at UCLAlivestats.com and live updates from the team Twitter account, @UCLAMSoccer

Lights, Camera, Bruins
Starting with the Mar. 28 matchup against Stanford, the final four games on UCLA's 2020-21 schedule will all be televised on the Pac-12 Networks. The Bruins are scheduled to have five games on television this season.

The Week in Review
The Bruins played two games last week, taking one point from the pair of Pac-12 matchups despite playing well in both. UCLA first rallied to eliminate a two-goal deficit and draw with San Diego State, 2-2, last Wednesday night at SDSU Sports Deck. Tommy Silva had three points (1-1) to lead the Bruins, scoring the team's first goal in the 40th minute before setting up Kevin Diaz's 79th minute equalizer. Both goals came off corner kicks for UCLA (Silva's directly, Diaz's on a second ball after Silva's initial corner was deflected back to him). The Bruins outshot SDSU 25-9 and had a 16-0 advantage in corner kicks. It was the first goal in a Bruin uniform for both Diaz and SIlva. UCLA later absorbed a 3-0 loss to No. 7 Stanford at home on Sunday afternoon. The Bruins played a large portion of the game a man down after a 57th minute red card on a last-man challenge.

Winning the Shot Battle
The Bruins have outshot their opponents in three of their last four games, holding a 48-21 shot advantage in those games a 52-41 edge overall over the last four games. UCLA has had shot advantages of plus-10 (14-4 against Cal) and plus-16 (25-9 against SDSU) during that span, the latter representing the highest shot advantage ever for the Bruins under second-year head coach Ryan Jorden

UCLA Records 25 Shots in Draw With SDSU
UCLA's shot output against the Aztecs was one of the most prolific in the modern history of the program. The Bruins' 22 shots in regulation were the program's most since Nov. 6, 2015 (against Oregon State) while the team's 25 shots overall were the most since Oct. 8, 2013 (also 25, and also against Oregon State).

Not Cutting Corners
The Bruins have allowed a total of just three corner kicks to their opponents over the last three games, including two contests where the opposition finished with zero corners for the whole game. UCLA had a 16-0 advantage in corners at SDSU last Wednesday; the only other game in recent history where UCLA had double-digit corners while the opponent had zero was a Sept. 16, 2012 game against LMU (13-0), which the Bruins won by a score of 1-0. UCLA is averaging 6.67 corner kicks per game this season, second-most in the Pac-12 and No. 20 nationally.

Tough Road
UCLA's scheduled opponents for the 2020-21 season have accrued a .625 winning percentage as of Mar. 29, 2021. That figure ranks 11th nationally, and is the highest among any team that's played more than five games. UCLA had the 12th-toughest schedule in the NCAA for the 2019 season (.609 opponents winning percentage) and was the only west coast school in the top-15.

Newcomers Making Contributions
Five of UCLA's seven goals (71%), five of eight assists (63%), and 15 of 22 points (68%) have been recorded by players who were not regulars on last year's squad. The Bruins are led in scoring by true freshman defender Tommy Silva (1-2-4),

Spreading It Around
UCLA's seven goals this season have been scored by seven different players. The Bruins' seven unique goalscorers trail conference-leader Washington (nine) by just two.

Rank and File
This Saturday represents UCLA's second straight and sixth overall game against a team ranked inside the top-15 this year. The Bruins had a stretch earlier this season where they played a top-15 team in three straight games, a feat they may duplicate next week with Washington (ranked No. 7 this week) on deck.
