Canales Repeats as UCLA Student-Athlete of Week, presented by Ready

Sophomore Caroline Canales of the UCLA women's golf team has been selected the UCLA Student-Athlete of the Week, presented by Ready, for Jan. 30-Feb. 5, her second consecutive honor.

Canales was the Bruins' top golfer for the second tournament in a row and helped bring home another win, this time against rival USC in the inaugural Battle for the Bell. Canales won both of her match play rounds in the tournament, defeating Malia Nam 2UP on day one at Sherwood Country Club and taking care of Brianna Navarrosa in just 14 holes on day two, winning 5&4. The sophomore out of Calabasas is the only Bruin to be undefeated in all four of her match play competitions this season.

This is Canales' second UCLA student-athlete of the week award of the season and of her career.
