LOS ANGELES – Redshirt senior Jose Contell of UCLA Men's Soccer has been selected the Student-Athlete of the Week for competitions completed between Oct. 8-14.
Contell led the Bruins to a 2-1 win over No. 2 Ohio State on Friday night at Wallis Annenberg Stadium. The redshirt senior from Valencia, Spain tallied the game-winning goal for the Bruins in the 71st minute of the game, putting UCLA up 2-1 with his third goal of the season. Contell finished the game with a goal from three shots with one coming on frame.
Contell secures his second-career UCLA student-athlete of the week award.
