No. 6 UCLA in Fifth After Round One at Nanea

KAILUA-KONA, Hawaii – The No. 6 UCLA women's golf team shot a 3-under 289 in the first round of the Nanea Pac-12 Preview at Nanea Golf Club on Monday.
The Bruins trail first-place Arizona (-11) by eight strokes. Bailey Shoemaker of USC owns a one-shot lead on the individual leader board following a 6-under 67. UCLA's top performer on day one was junior Caroline Canales who shot a 3-under 70 to put herself in a tie for seventh. Canales recorded a string of five straight birdies on the front nine.
Just outside the top 10 is Zoe Antoinette Campos in a tie for 11th at 2-under. Kate Villegas is tied for 20th at even par.
The Bruins tee off for round two in a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. (PT)/7:30 a.m. (HT).
