UCLA in Second After Two Rounds at the Silicon Valley Showcase

MILLBRAE, Calif. – The No. 3 UCLA women's golf team is in second place at 25-over 570 after completing the first two rounds of play at the Silicon Valley Showcase at Green Hills Country Club on Monday.
The Bruins trail first-place No. 25 Pepperdine (+2) by 23 strokes. UCLA shot 10-over 294 in the first round and 15-over 299 in the second. Only two three golfers in the 59-player field are under par after 36 holes.
Four UCLA golfers are situated in the top 10, led by Kate Villegas in fourth place at 1-over 143. Villegas shot a 3-under 68 in her second round in the afternoon. Natalie Vo, who is competing individually, is in a three-way tie for fifth at 2-over (70-74). Caroline Canales and Zoe Antoinette Campos are both tied for ninth at 5-over.
The Bruins begin the final round of the Silicon Valley Showcase tomorrow morning in a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. (PT).
