
UCLA Qualifies Three Swimmers for 2024 NCAA Championships

LOS ANGELES โ Three UCLA swimmers were selected to participate in the 2024 NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships on Wednesday as the NCAA announced the qualifiers for this year's meet.
UCLA's invited swimmers include junior Eva Carlson, junior Paige MacEachern, and sophomore Rosie Murphy.
The championships, hosted by Georgia, will be held March 20-23 at the Bauerle Pool at Gabrielsen Natatorium in Athens, Georgia.
Selected divers will be announced on Sunday, March 17.
Carlson is a two-time NCAA qualifier. She is set to compete in both the 100 breast and 200 breast in Georgia. Her best time in the 100 breast (59.62) earns her the Np. 31 seed in the event, while her time of 2:11.01 in the 200 breast puts her at No. 48.
MacEachern. Fresh off her school record performance in the 400 IM at the Pac-12 championships, is the No. 7 overall seed in the event, coming in with a time of 4:03.47. The junior, who will be appearing in her third NCAA championships, will also take part in the 200 IM and the 200 back. She is seeded 21st overall in the 200 IM with a time of 1:55.97 and is the No. 44 seed in the 200 fly with a time of 1:56.80. ย
Murphy rounds out the Bruin qualifiers. The sophomore, who set two school records last weekend at the Pac-12 championships, will be taking part in her first NCAA championships. Murphy is the No. 20 seed in the 200 IM with a time of 1:55.93, the No. 11 seed in the 400 IM in 4:06.00, and her school record performance in the 200 back at the Pac-12 Championships earns her the No. 21 seed.
