Big Ten Conference Reveals Women’s Volleyball Schedule

ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference announced its 2024 women's volleyball schedule Wednesday. UCLA will play 20 Big Ten matches with 10 at home and 10 on the road.
All dates are subject to change and match times will be announced at a later date. The Bruins' full 2024 schedule will be announced later this month with tickets going on sale in the summer.
UCLA plays its first-ever match as a member of the Big Ten on Sept. 27 at defending conference champion Nebraska in the Devaney Center. The home conference opener will be Sept. 29 versus Ohio State in Pauley Pavilion presented by Wescom immediately followed by two more home matches against Minnesota on Oct. 4 and Michigan on Oct. 5.
UCLA will face crosstown rival USC first on the road at the Galen Center on Oct. 13. The two programs will meet at Pauley Pavilion on Halloween Night, Oct. 31.
The Bruins' three double-play opponents are USC, Oregon and Washington. In total, UCLA's conference home slate includes 10 matches against Ohio State, Minnesota, Michigan, Penn State, Michigan State, USC, Washington, Wisconsin, Iowa and Oregon.
UCLA will make six total conference road trips in the 2024 season. The Bruins' 10 road opponents are Nebraska, Washington, USC, Purdue, Northwestern, Oregon, Rutgers, Maryland, Indiana and Illinois.
The regular-season finale consists of two matches against Iowa (Nov. 27) and Oregon (Nov. 29) in Pauley Pavilion.
The traditional Big Ten opponent the Bruins most recently played was Indiana in September of the 2023 season. The Cornhuskers are the opponent the Bruins have played most of the traditional Big Ten teams (17 times). UCLA owns a 53-27 record (.663) versus traditional Big Ten teams and has a series history in women's volleyball with each of the seventeen other Big Ten programs except for Rutgers.
