Allchin Named CSC Academic All-American

Graduate outfielder Jadelyn Allchin on the UCLA softball team was named a College Sports Communicators (CSC) Third Team Academic All-American Tuesday morning. This marks the first Academic All-America recognition in her five-year collegiate career.

Allchin completed her certificate in UCLA's marketing extension program in 2024. She earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Washington in 2023 prior to transferring.

Allchin was one of the most valuable transfer additions in the country in 2024. The Fountain Valley product received the first All-Pac-12 Team recognition of her career, being named to the Second Team. Allchin was one of four Bruins to start all 55 games and enjoyed career bests in batting average (.317), runs batted in (33), runs scored (40) and stolen bases (10-10). She held down the No. 2 spot in the lineup for 35 games and hit in the top third of the lineup in 43 of 55 games this season.

Allchin has started her professional softball career with the growing Athletes Unlimited League which is based in Wichita, Kan. and Chicago, Ill. Fans can watch every Athletes Unlimited game on the ESPN Family of Networks.
