Woolery Named Student-Athlete of the Week, Presented by Ready

LOS ANGELES – Sophomore Jordan Woolery of UCLA Softball has been selected the UCLA Student-Athlete of the Week, presented by Ready, for the week of May 27-June 2.
The second-year infielder lifted the UCLA softball team to a 4-1 victory over Alabama with a go-ahead three-run homer in the sixth inning of game one at the Women's College World Series on Thursday. The blast was the first of Woolery's postseason career and her 10th of the season. The Bruins' (43-12) victory marked their 12th win this season when tied or trailing in the fifth inning or later. UCLA finished one win short of a national semifinal appearance at the WCWS.
Woolery secures her first-career UCLA student-athlete of the week award.
