Ndiaye will be making her first appearance at the Olympics. Ndiaye, the only Bruin to be selected to an Olympic women's volleyball roster, was born in Paris and moved to the United States at four years old. Since graduating from UCLA with a degree in communications, Ndiaye has competed professionally overseas in Germany, France and Turkey. Ndiaye most recently represented France in the Volleyball Nations League in May and June.
ย
Ndiaye was a three-time All-Pac-12 honoree in her UCLA playing career, being named to the First Team in Spring 2021 and Honorable Mention twice in 2023 and 2022. She was recognized as AVCA Pacific South All-Region in her final campaign in Westwood. Last season, Ndiaye led UCLA with 441.0 points (3.74 PPS) and 375 kills (3.18 KPS) at a .265 hitting percentage. She was the only Bruin to start all 30 matches, playing in all 118 sets. Ndiaye recorded the first five double-doubles of her career in her senior season, which also led the team.
ย
Reft joins UCLA Athletic Hall of Famers Karch Kiraly (Head Coach) and Sue Enquist (Culture Consultant) on the Team USA coaching staff. He has served as a seasonal assistant for the U.S. Women's National Team for the past two seasons.
ย
Reft enters his second year as UCLA's head coach in 2024. In his first season at UCLA in 2023, Reft led the Bruins to an 18-12 overall record and 10-10 mark in Pac-12 matches. UCLA finished sixth in the conference standings and was among one of the first eight teams to not be selected for the 2023 NCAA Tournament. The Bruins' season was highlighted by three victories over top-25 opponents, including two on the road in the final three weeks of the season versus No. 9 Washington State and No. 24 USC.
