
Hallaselka, Murphy Named to Big Ten Swimmers and Divers Watch List

ROSEMONT, Illi. – The Big Ten Conference announced its Swimmers and Divers to Watch List on Wednesday afternoon. Included on the list are sophomore diver Lauren Hallaselka and junior swimmer Rosie Murphy.
Lauren Hallaselkä, entering her sophomore season at UCLA, has earned a spot on the Divers to Watch list from the Big Ten Conference. Hallaselka enjoyed a stellar freshman campaign in Westwood where she competed at five regular season meets, as well as the Pac-12 Championships, NCAA Zone E Championships, and the NCAAs during the 2023-24 season. She capped off her season with a first-place finish in both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving competitions at the NCAA Zone E Championships. She followed that with a top-10 finishing in the 3-meter springboard event at the NCAA Championships (10th – 315.30), earning All-American honorable mention honors. On the year she earned three individual wins in the 1-meter dive and four individual wins in the 3-meter dive.
Rosie Murphy, who finished her sophomore season with an NCAA Championships appearance in 2024, was named a Swimmer to Watch by the Big Ten Conference. She appeared in all twelve regular season meets, as well as the Pac-12 Championships and the NCAA Championships during the 2023-24 season... At the NCAA Championships in March Murphy placed 10th overall in the 400 IM with a time of 4:05.01 to earn All-American honorable mention honors. At the Pac-12 Championships, Murphy had a stellar meet, including setting the school record in both the 200 back (1:53.13) and the 200 IM (1:55.93). For the season Murphy recorded seven individual event wins in the 200 back and one individual event win in the 200 IM throughout the season.
